Something I never thought I would like, or would suit me, is the Bermuda short. I normally wear short shorts (you probably know from my blog and instagram) as I have long thin legs and always had this idea that longer shorts or even skirts would drown me.
Last week I ran in to Mango to pick up something to wear for a quick London trip with Clinique (more about that soon) and actually Chris picked up this pair of shorts for me to match the knit cami I had already chosen. Although they are obviously a little shorter (and more chic) than the traditional Bermuda short they are still a style I would always have walked past. At first, I was still weary, but then I remembered I had seen Andi Singer rock a few pairs on instagram, alongside the fact that I loved the high waist and detail at the top. I decided to give them a go and long story short … (lol) I loved them. Although decided against wearing them to London as they are slightly see through and it was raining that morning. I’m seriously glad that I got them however as I love this outfit together, probably one of my favourites this summer and it has opened my eyes to stop sticking so strongly to my usual uniform wardrobe.
Lesson learned, just because you have always thought it isn’t your style or will suit your shape, things are always changing and there is absolutely no harm in trying something new – it might surprise you!
What do you think of this style of short? Would you wear it? If anyone has any similar styles of favourites, please link them to me as I am on the hunt for some more pairs. I am also trying out new posting days to try and find a schedule that fits in well with my social posting and work. So please let me know if you like Sunday posts, or would prefer them on a Monday.
Have a wonderful week!
