HOLIDAY STYLE

As i’m sure you all know by now i’m not particularly keen on dressing up. I love dresses when they are either dressed down or completely over the top gowns, but other than that I don’t find them exciting, and always struggle to find a different edge to them.

Don’t get me wrong I think that when done right a dress is perfect for this season, I have even bought one to possibly wear on Christmas day, but it’s not something you would expect and i’m wearing it with shoes you also wouldn’t necessarily pair with it. To see more on that though you will have to follow along on my instagram stories.

I suppose, however, that I do prefer more of a one off statement piece for this time of year. A statement blazer, shoe, bright pair of trousers or in my case above – the ultimate statement sleeve shirt!

I am all about dimension in an outfit and it’s easier to create that with more than one piece. I love to take basics and everyday pieces and make them into something special, because at the end of the day you don’t want to show up to a Christmas party or event and feel uncomfortable because you’re wearing the same or something similar to everyone else.

For my perfect Holiday look i’ve paired a few statement pieces with the most perfect cut denims (especially to compliment the shoes) and stuck to a simple colour palette of black, white and denim but added the pop of dark red velvet to make the look a little more interesting … and festive of course!

What is your go to Holiday party look? Let me know if you have seen any amazing statement pieces – link them in the comments below!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, thank you for reading as always and for all of the support and messages this past year! I will be back with one more post before the New Year, but until then – Merry Christmas!
