I’ve been pulling this piece together for quite some time now, i’ve been working on it since probably around March this year. Collecting new bits for the summer season and most importantly trying them out to find out which ones are my absolute favourites. I’ve listed and discussed them all below, but if you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to send me a message!

In terms of beauty products, in the summer I still want to look dewy but a little more bronzed than normal. The YSL top secrets moisturiser has been my go to for the last month. It keeps my skin hydrated in the heat and works in so many ways, you can do lots of tricks with it, like adding some eyeshadow and use for strobing, to give that extra glow.

The primer is the perfect base for my foundation with its silicon texture and beautiful sheen. I’ve been wearing it throughout the heat these past weeks and its done a great job at keeping my make up in tact.

I was introduced to the Tom Ford Soleil collection back in March, and i’ve been loving everything i’ve tried so far. This cream bronzer is definitely my favourite however, it’s a summer saviour for those who love that bronzed dewy skin look, without looking too powdery with bronzer.

The Becca highlighter is without a doubt my hero piece. I discovered it in a Space NK gift bag and i’ve been addicted ever since. I just add a little to my cheeks and blend it with my beauty blender and I promise it gives off the most beautiful sheen.

Finally for beauty, my Aesop lip balm. I’ve always been a huge fan of everything Aesop. I love their products, packaging and whole ethic. I specifically love that this lip balm has SPF 50 in it, so not only does it keep my lips hydrated and smells amazing but it also protects them too.

I’ve spoken a lot about skincare on the blog and my snapchat recently. I find more and more that the better I look after my bad skin the easier the break outs are to handle. I try to use mostly natural skincare products because after a lot of trial and error, I find thats what works best for me.

As you may already know, i’m obsessed with the Eve Lom cleanser, so it was only natural that I tried more of their products. I started with the moisturiser and it’s honestly wonderful. It has a thick and heavy almost clay like texture but every time I use it my skin feels and looks amazing.

The Aesop Parsley seed range is another one of my favourites, both the masque and the cleanser are a great switch up for my routine and I always see great results after i’ve used them.

Along with their body lotion, again it’s got SPF 50 in it, so its perfect for us girls who tend to burn more in the sunshine. I love that the products not only enhance the look and feel of your skin but also protect it so well.

On that note, since I don’t take such a great tan, but always love to look bronzed, I wear self tan religiously. Recently i’ve been trying this Fake Bake Flawless coconut tan, the colour is a little dark for me but the application and scent are beautiful. I just apply it lightly because I am so pale naturally, and it always works out great.

My final skincare favourite is my Diptyque hand cream. I got it as a gift recently and I have been carrying it everywhere with me. As some of you may know, my eating issues have led to OCD related problems and washing my hands consistently is one of them. This hand cream works wonders for keeping my hands moisturised and not as dry as they had been getting.

Finally, some quick lifestyle bits that i’ve been loving for summer. I always have my candles burning, but in them summertime I prefer a lighter scent and more pretty packing. It’s really just to change things up on my coffee table and add in something a little different.

Some of my favourites are my Vogue woodwick candle from Candelle Co. as well as my candles from the Skye Candle company. They all look and smell amazing and are also Scottish made.

The last piece is my new Byredo scent. I’ve posted before about them and how much I love the brand, the packaging and the freshness of their scents, but Gypsy water is by far my favourite. Every time I wear it I get complimented on how great I smell. The brand are also now sold in Space NK in Glasgow, which is amazing as before I always had to order online, but now I can go in store and smell every scent before choosing.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you would like me to do similar ones more often, please tweet or snap me @lucyflorals to let me know.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend when it comes!
