As much as I live by the philosophy that less is more – I can’t wear all black or white everyday in summer. The main reason I love Autumn and winter is because I believe that layering makes an outfit look more chic instantly. If you keep the colour palette easy and simple, then you can add layer over layer and it will make the outfit better, and keep it original.

Most days I have a uniform, or variations of a uniform, that includes jeans, blazers, leather, denim, breton, white tees and plaid shirts. This outfit is just an example of how I have thrown different pieces of my capsule wardrobe staples together and made a unique outfit.

It’s the perfect easy weekend wear, I love the grunge elements – like the trainers and the shirt around my waist, but then the blazer and the bag keep it smart. Perfect for weekend shopping

and lunch.

Happy Sunday!

I totally agree- I have such a hard time not layering during the summer. And I LOVE how you make casual wear look so chic. My favorite part was the tied plaid around your waist 🙂

Ok, I would totally wear this outfit from head to toe – what an effortlessly cool and chic combination of patterns and colors!! I seriously love the idea of layering in the summer, unfortunately where I live it was 93 degrees Fahrenheit with 60% humidity in the air. Still this is such a great look – the plaid shirt around your waist is super cool!
