I was tagged to do the confessions of a shopaholic tag by the very lovely Jess at Made You Look blog, her blog is great so please check it out.
1. Would you consider yourself a shopaholic?
Well, I suppose I maybe am a bit of a shopaholic as in I sit
all day and look at clothes online and in magazines and pick what I will buy
and I am always on the hunt for new pieces. However I’m not much of an impulse
buyer, I much prefer quality to quantity. I would rather buy one or a
few good items that will last forever than go to a high street shop and buy
lots of cheaper clothes. For example my bags, they will last a lifetime because
of the leather and their structure.
2. How would you classify your style?
I’d say minimalist, tailored and polished. I like plain and
clean-cut clothes in simple colours and then I will add maybe one piece that is
a bit different or outrageous.
3. What store can you not leave without buying at
least one thing?
Zara! It’s my favourite, especially this season, they are
just the best at everything.
4. Where do you find the best deals?
As I said before I’m not really bothered by cheaper clothes
stores so I’d have to say I find the best deals in vintage stores. Every year I
go and buy a new vintage fur and I got my first for like £15! If I got that in
any store it would be 4 times that amount.
5. Do you have a go-to shopping outfit?
Not really, I prefer to be comfortable so just now it’s
probably jeans, ankle boots, a white shirt or jumper with my leather jacket and
Mulberry Alexa for a pop of colour.
6. What is your guilty pleasure? (Not including
Fur, I love anything fur and I think it can make any outfit
luxe. I love fur jackets, fur coats, fur vests, fur shawls and hats and
everything that is fur. I also wear it all through the year!
7. What is one staple clothing piece you can’t live
Either a good leather jacket or ankle boots – especially for
autumn and winter. They can both transform any outfit.
8. What is a trend you hope never goes out of
I don’t really care because I try not to follow trends, I
have my own style and Its more important to me to be true to that and to be
original and different in my style.
9. What trend did you love that passed away too
As I tend not to follow trends I’m not too sure. Style is
originality, it’s definitely better to be different in your style.
is your fashion icon?
Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, wow she is just incredible,
so original and different in her posts yet her own style is so cool and chic. I
read her blog everyday and follow her constantly. Everything she wears and
styles I just love, to me she is up there with greatest stylists of all time.
Thanks for tagging me, I loved answering the questions and taking some photo’s to go along with the post.
The first time I ever watched Sex and the City I knew I wanted a closet like Carries. Now I have shelves at the top of my wardrobe to house my beautiful boxes. I love packaging.
