Thailand, June 2013.

On the 10th of June my boyfriend Chris and I traveled to Phuket for a 2 week holiday. After two 7 hour flights and a 5 hour layover in Dubai, we arrived in a rainy Phuket. I will admit, at first I was a little disheartened by the rain and even though we were staying in a 5 star resort by the sea in Cape Panwa, I couldn’t help but feel a little upset. It wasn’t until I woke up the next morning and seen the view from our room that I realised, we had made the right decision.

To call it a room with a view wouldn’t be fair, it was like nothing I had ever seen before, stunning views of the Andaman sea that were breathtaking.

We enjoyed 2 weeks of sunbathing on the private beach and the infinity pool, eating in beautiful restaurants, visiting other resorts and getting thai massages in the spa. We went on an elephant ride and held and fed a baby tiger. It was a dream destination and undoubtedly the best holiday ever.

Thailand Highlights

Sri Panwa – This has to be the most amazing place I have ever been. It beautiful restaurants and panoramic sea views, all with the most serene atmosphere.

Chris had already planned to take me to their roof top bar – baba’s nest, and then to baba pool club for dinner, so when we arrived he booked it for a beautiful Monday night. I wore a white tailored trouser suit with Zara strappy heels and waited in the lobby for the car they were sending to pick us up. A yellow tuk tuk arrived to take us.

We had cocktails in Baba’s nest, the roof top bar with 360-degree panoramic sea views where you sit on stripy beanbags on the floor and look in awe at the views around you. After our drinks we headed down to the pool club and had pad thai for dinner.

Phuket Fantasea – one of the islands theme parks, (almost) many people say it’s cheesy but I loved it and Chris and I both had a great night. We went an elephant ride, had a nice dinner in their buffet restaurant, went to see the show and we were lucky enough to hold and feed a baby tiger.
Thailand is just surreal, I mean where else in the world can you go to a theme park and hold a baby tiger!

My few weeks in Cape Panwa were easily amongst the best in my life – I can’t wait to go back!
